20 years ago it was an argument for a business model which put human welbeing over shareholder returns. Today, those arguing for it include the Vatican, UN General Assembly, Coops Europe, Fair Trade International, the Blueprint for Better Business and most recently Oxfam.
Many of these use the original description of a people-centered economy.
