Jacky I recall the experience of when Coopers amd Lybrand were called upon to solve a problem of a major quango using 3 different computer communications protocols. They recommended the lowest common denominator rather than the highest.
A colleague at the time use to say that a consultant was someone who walks into you business, mugs you, then leaves a report recommending that you’re mugged by 3 of his closest friends.
