Kendall, I know the difference. I’m surprised that all this effort didn’t uncover the origin of the argument against shareholder profit maximisation. It derives fom a 1996 position paper on people-centered economics and had been deployed to create a ‘Marshall Plan’ for Ukraine by 2007. In 2009, I made an introduction to B Labs. In 2012 Lynne Stout verified our argument that nothing prevents business operating primarily for the benefit of the community if declared in the company charter and agreed to by directors and shareholders:
